What lower impact alternatives were considered, and how has the public been consulted on this? Who was involved in the decision making process? Additional facts that are not included in this video: FACT: The proposed development will bring additional people to this section of the waterfront. As a result, we can expect additional congestion, additional traffic and additional environmental impacts to this area due to increased use. FACT: Artificial turf is not an environmentally conscious decision. They contribute to global warming by absorbing more UV radiation in comparison to living plants (including grass), they release micros plastics and chemicals into the surrounding environment and water (including PFAs and benzene), and they contribute to reduced efficiency of flood mitigation and the water cycle. I am not in agreement with the City of Barrie's direction.

Wow! Just wow! How low can this City Council go? Let's accuse our constituents of lying to try and shut them up! Who was in charge of trying to dig up a few posts from one of thousands of residents opposed to this sports field to make this video? And let's further confuse those who have never been involved in municipal processes! There was NO public consultation! You consulted solely with sports clubs. The majority, except for Council's soccer buddies, are saying NO to a sports field on our waterfront! If they had a more suitable location offered to them or to the Sea Cadets for 4.6 million dollars, it would not make sense for them not to take it if they were not intimidated by our Council. You're not offering a better location, nor did you advise staff to investigate any other locations! This is a lose, lose, lose proposition for everyone. A mistake on the lake! SAY NO to a sports field on our waterfront!

Queen's Park would make an excellent location.

Upon running the Myth vs. Facts video per Multi-purpose sports field, the thumbs up (consistently) increases by 1 after a few seconds, giving the impression that there is movement on the 'favourable' POV. Booking a ride may be easy, by my GOD are the times inconsistent. You’re making so many people late for work with how garbage the ON “DEMAND” system is (more like “ON OUR OWN TIME” since the busses are frequently too late or I’ve even seen it where it’s been too EARLY) What a garbage rollout. I hoped it would be spot ON and near perfect with such a drastic change like this, but expected nothing less.

Does not work. It gives routes that no longer exist, and times that are useless. I need to arrive at my destination at ten-thirty pm; it tells me to take the 1B, departing at ten-fifteen, or ten-forty-five, or eleven-forty-five; or the 6B at eleven-ten, transferring to the 3A, or the 8A leaving at ten-forty-five. I smell major lawsuits in the air.
